Armstrong eyeing big spring target after Acdc rocks rivals in feature

It is the time of year when everyone in jumping circles are busy making plans and while not all will materialise, there was plenty of conviction in owner Dave Armstrong's blueprint after 12-1 shot Acdc claimed the feature 2m3½f Bobby Renton Handicap Chase.

"You probably won't see him over a fence again until April as we want to protect his mark for the Scottish National," said Armstrong.

"That's the plan at the moment and we'll keep him over hurdles. He ran a cracker when third in the champion novice at the meeting last season and loves Ayr."
