Arcenfete fulfilling his potential over fences for De Bromhead

One-time Champion Hurdle entry Arcenfete confirmed himself a much better chaser for Henry de Bromhead by taking the feature Audrey McGrath Memorial Novice Chase at Wexford under Brian Hayes.

While it’s par for the course for De Bromhead’s horses to improve for the switch to larger obstacles, Arcenfete looks to have transformed into a totally different beast for the change of discipline, with Saturday's success his second from as many starts over fences.

Then again, the Gigginstown House Stud-owned six-year-old looks built for the game, and De Bromhead, who also trained the second home, the topweight Classic Theatre, suggested the two may chart a path towards Roscommon for their next start.
