Arcanada proves the parable of last shall be first after bad Good Friday run

It was not a Good Friday at Lingfield for Arcanada and his connections back in March but the five-year-old put the record straight in no uncertain terms with a runaway success in the feature Sun Racing Handicap.

Arcanada had gone into the Sunbets Mile Championship final in March off the back of three all-weather wins, two over course and distance, but, sent off 2-1 second favourite, he flopped, finishing last of the 11 runners.

"He's back in the form of his life," said Colin Gorman, assistant to winning trainer Tom Dascombe, who was ending the year with three wins in a row, topping the £1 million mark in prize-money for good measure.
