Anyone got another cup? Two were needed after a pulsating finish to the feature £30,000 totepool Thirsk Summer Cup, with judge Di Clark being unable to split Florenza and Moonlightnavigator who had flashed across the line together.

Florenza, who was sent off at 40-1, was given a fine ride by Tom Eaves, who made the running and led everywhere until the final yard, where she was joined by running-on 20-1 shot Moonlightnavigator, ridden by Jason Hart.

Chris Fairhurst, who trains Florenza for her breeders Jason and Mike Tozer, said: "I thought we might have won it but the longer it took to decide, the less confident I became. I'm delighted all the same and she's my biggest winner since Abbajabba won the Coral Sprint at York in 2001.
