Olly Murphy's recent Cheltenham winner Thomas Darby looks set to return to the track on Sunday to contest the Supreme Trial, and connections will be boosted by Amoola Gold, who was behind in seventh, making a winning chasing debut in the Cotswold Mini Hereford Chase.

An interesting recruit to fences after three hurdle starts, Dan Skelton's gelding was prominent throughout and looked far from a novice, jumping boldly under Bridget Andrews who gave him a confident, attacking ride.

The five-year-old stuck on gamely to deny the quirky Brelan D'As, who was unable to justify 5-2 favouritism, by a length and a quarter.
