Alveena made her last start a winning one when getting up close home for a neck win in the final stakes race of the Curragh season, the Listed Brown Panther Stakes.

It was the Aga Khan-owned filly's fourth win but, importantly, her first black-type success, and trainer Dermot Weld said: “Alveena has been very consistent. She was Group 2-placed during the year and now she's won at Listed level her job is done.
