Almighwar romps home to round off fine week for Gosden, Crowley and Al Maktoum

Jim Crowley, John Gosden and Hamdan Al Maktoum had a Royal Ascot to remember and the trio closed the week in fitting fashion as Almighwar romped home in the 1m4f novice.

The jockey, trainer and owner each enjoyed six winners at the royal meeting and they could have another promising colt on their hands after the son of Dubawi, out of brilliant filly Taghrooda, blitzed the competition by four and a quarter lengths.

Crowley said: "He’s a lovely big horse and towards the end he was just devouring the ground. It wasn’t a strong race but he did everything nicely and went through the gears well. He’s bred to be very good and let’s hope he is."
