You could say that Next Destination looked more of a stayer than anything else on Sunday.

It was an impressive performance in the heavy ground, but it was a case of the further they went the better he looked, rather than any swashbuckling change of gear.

Indeed, it took him a little while to get on top of his rivals – partly down to the fact he made a hash of the third-last – and he only really pulled clear once they started to tire.
