Aintree on the cards for Richards hat-trick scorer Reivers Lad

Aintree is a possibility for Reivers Lad, who looks a really interesting prospect after completing a hat-trick in the 2m novice hurdle.

Partnered by Brian Harding, he was sent off a warm order at 4-9 and those who backed him never had any cause for concern as he jumped really well and beat previous winner Applaus by two and a half lengths, the first two finishing 23 lengths clear.

He is owned by Kelso-based John Stenhouse and trained by Nicky Richards, who said: "He's a lovely big horse but needs to get some mileage under his belt.
