What an incredible 24 hours for amateur Aine O’Connor as she partnered Drumcliff to victory in the feature 2m4f handicap chase sporting the famous green and gold silks of JP McManus.

O’Connor had ridden Litterale Ci to score at Ffos Las on Saturday evening for McManus and was again seen to good effect as she conjured a rally out of Drumcliff to get back up and see off the attentions of Viconte Du Noyer by a length.

The winning rider said: “It’s something I cannot quite believe has just happened in these colours and I cannot thank Mr McManus enough for giving me the chance to ride such lovely horses for him as it would be easy to put somebody else up on them.”
