Afandem rolls back the years as Tim Easterby enjoys 296-1 treble

Afandem had plenty of potential as a two-year-old and looked to be a star in the making when winning the Group 3 Prix d’Arenberg at Chantilly in 2016 for Hugo Palmer.

Unfortunately that would prove to be the last time he would enter the winner’s enclosure for three years, embarking on a 25-race losing run.

However, the five-year-old, now trained by Tim Easterby, proved class is permanent as he roared to a five-length success in the 5f handicap.
