Fabianski looked a wise purchase after her first hurdles win but now must rate the bargain of the early jumps season.

The juvenile filly was bought for just £2,000 by Rebecca Menzies, and the trainer, as well as owners Stoneleigh Racing partnership, had to watch her survive a mistake two out en route to defying a 6lb penalty.

That took her post-sale earnings over £9,000 – with power to add an extra £20,000 when she tackles a Listed event at Doncaster on January 25.
