Andrew Balding's Kingsclere stable, preparing for Maid Up's run in the St Leger, will be abuzz overnight after an emotional double with two much-loved stable veterans.

After Intransigent had made light of his nine years at Chester, the year-younger Absolutely So added his seventh career win.

The victories were part of a fabulous afternoon for the Kingsclere outfit with seven winners across the card.
