The victory of A Three Eighty in the mares’ bumper made the journey from Ireland worthwhile for owner David Cunningham on his first ever visit to the Severnside course.

He explained: “We arrived with the horses on Tuesday evening in darkness and did not know where anything was, but luckily a phone call to clerk of the course Libby O’Flaherty helped sort everything out.

“It has proved a lovely overnight stay as the course kindly put us up in a hotel in the town and now the mare has won, which means everything has worked out in very pleasing style.
