'A racing machine' - Constitution Hill stars on one of Newcastle's greatest days
What a day it was to be at Newcastle.
Some wonderful things were happening elsewhere but at Gosforth Park we witnessed the thrilling confirmation that Constitution Hill is indeed a racehorse blessed with the most outrageous talent. He is every bit as good as he looked at Cheltenham and very probably a fair bit better. The same might also be true of L'Homme Presse. Lest there by any doubt, this was a day graced by not one superstar but two. Really, it was a magnificent day.
There was always the hope it would be, yet there was the same hope when we walked into Ascot last Saturday. This time the vibes were altogether more positive, as was obvious when Nico de Boinville walked off the track not long after noon with a smile on his face.
