A new chapter in Seanachai's story with Ulster National triumph

It has been an eventful couple of weeks for Portadown trainer Stephen McConville and his stable star Anseanachai Cliste.

The horse was controversially withdrawn from the St James's Place Foxhunter Chase at Cheltenham nine days ago but that may have proved to their advantage as they ran out ready winners of the Ulster National.

Anseanachai Cliste had not raced under rules since running in a hunter chase at Leopardstown 13 months ago, but he had won eight point-to-points, and a basement mark of 97 was insufficient to stop him.
