If Leopardstown on Saturday did not tempt Michael O'Leary to pick up a pen and renew his contract with Irish racing then nothing will.

This was one of the great Gigginstown days. An unusually mild late December afternoon when the juiciest of carrots was dangled right in front of the Ryanair boss.

Firstly, Apple’s Jade ripped up her retirement papers into a million different pieces and then Delta Work was delivered with precision timing by Jack Kennedy to take the Savills Chase.
