John Egan announced he is planning to "do a Lester Piggott" and ride until he is at least 57 after celebrating a 49th birthday winner on his only ride at the Norfolk track.

The two-time July Cup-winning rider has enjoyed something of a resurgence this year and was recording his 23rd success of 2017 when steering home Graceful Lady in the 1m6f handicap.

The victory was a second course win in eight days for trainer Robert Eddery, who struck with sprinter Ross Raith Rover at the track last week.
