Regional champions revealed for the 2022 Betting Shop Manager of the Year
The eight regional champions for the Racing Post/SIS Betting Shop Manager of the Year competition have been announced.
These eight were selected from a shortlist of 24 managers who met the judges at Doncaster this month and will be recognised at the final awards lunch in London in November.
The overall champion will be chosen from the regional winners after each manager, along with a key member of their shop staff, takes part in a question-and-answer session with the judges on the day before the final.
The judging panel includes former BHA chief executive Nick Rust, betting industry expert Jim Cremin, Ibas chief executive Richard Hayler, Helen Scott of SIS, broadcaster Tanya Stevenson and the Racing Post's Andrew Pennington.
The final awards lunch takes place at the Carlton Tower Jumeirah on Monday, November 7, when the prizes will be handed out by recently crowned champion jockey William Buick.
The winner will be invited to several key racing and betting events during their year as champion.
