Redvers eyeing top-ten finish in world's toughest race

THE end is in sight for David Redvers as Qatar Racing's breeding and racing adviser closes in on a top-ten finish in the world’s toughest horserace.

Redvers had made it to station 25 of 27 yesterday in the 1,000km Mongol Derby and, barring injury or mishap, looks set to complete the final 120km of the gruelling multi-terrain trek across Mongolia today.

Already at station 27 yesterday were Australian cattle rancher William Comiskey, Canadian lawyer Heidi Telstad and New Mexican cowgirl Marcia Hefker-Miles, who looked likely to fight out the finish over the final 40km.
