Drier than usual conditions at Haydock on Saturday should prove ideal for Betfair Chase favourite A Plus Tard, according to Cheveley Park Stud's Chris Richardson, as the seven-year-old bids to become the first Irish-trained winner of the Grade 1.

Henry de Bromhead indicated on Wednesday that Rachael Blackmore is set to travel to Merseyside to partner last season's Gold Cup second, who provided her with a first win at the Cheltenham Festival in 2019.

Should stablemate Bob Olinger head to Gowran Park on the same day for his eagerly awaited return in a 2m4f beginners' chase, Darragh O'Keeffe could come in for the plum ride on last season's brilliant Ballymore Novices' Hurdle winner.
