The Betfair Hurdle at Newbury rarely fails to provide a thrilling finish and Saturday's race had talking points from the standing start to the finish with two lengths covering the first six after a frightening pile-up at the last, which happily everyone was able to walk away from.

The connections of winner Pic D'Orhy are contemplating the Unibet Champion Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival after he beat the gambled-on favourite Ciel de Niege and veteran Remiluc, who heads for the Randox Health County Hurdle in which he was second two years ago.
