Declan Queally and David Christie were both fined €1,000 on Monday after runners for the pair tested positive for substances above the permitted threshold on raceday.

There were six referral hearings at the headquarters of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board on Monday and Queally received his fine after Cloudy Morning was found to have Salbutamol above the permitted level in his system when he won a novice handicap chase at Wexford on April 5.

Cloudy Morning was disqualified and the race has now gone to the Phillip Dempsey-trained Stowaway Forever.

Christie suffered the same fate after Pyrios, who won a point-to-point at Loughanmore in the middle of May, was found to have Lidocaine in his system above the permitted threshold on raceday.

Gavin Cromwell was fined €130 for having no authorised representative at Cork on July 12 which meant the stewards were unable to conduct an inquiry.
