Q&A: how to use the new Racing Post app

Welcome to the new Racing Post app. Our new product offers users a host of top tools and features, with vastly improved journeys involving racecards and results, betting plus news and tips – and we'll be making further product enhancements in the weeks and months to come. We know it can be tricky to navigate around a new app and here are our guides for a few of the most popular things you might be looking to do.

How do I find racecards and results on the new app?

How do I find today's racing?
1. Tap the Racing tab at the bottom of your screen
2. You will see today's races and results displayed chronologically
3. You can switch the view to course to view today's races by individual course
4. Tap the dropdown next to the course to view all the day's races and select your race
5. Open the racecard by tapping the race you wish to view

How do I find tomorrow's racing or big upcoming races?
1. Tap the Racing tab at the bottom of your screen
2. Tap RACES on the top bar
3. Tap the Date bar to open up your options
4. Select TOMORROW or choose the date of the race you want to view

How do I quickly move from racecard to racecard?
1. If viewing by 'Course', tap the course and select your race time or a different course to move to your next racecard
2. If viewing by 'Time', scroll and tap the racecard you want to view
3. You will be able to see results for previous races when a red bar is present

How do I find the latest results?
1. If results for today's racing comes in, tap on All results on the right side above the results carousel OR tap the Racing tab at the bottom of your screen
2. Tap RESULTS on the top bar
3. Tap TIME to see the latest results as they come in

How do I find the previous day's results?
1. Tap the Racing tab at the bottom of your screen
2. Tap RESULTS on the top bar
3. Tap the Date bar to open up your options
4. Select YESTERDAY or choose the date of the race you want to view

How do I quickly move from result to result?
1. When on a result, tap Choose race
2. Select your race time or a different course to move to your next result
3. You'll be able to see results for previous races when a red bar is present

What odds am I seeing and how do I change them?
1. When you open the app, it will default to show best odds
2. To change the odds shown, tap data & odds on the racecard
3. Select which odds you want from the drop down and which format you prefer

Where can I find OR, Topspeed and other information?
1. On the racecard, tap on the data & odds button
2. Select from extended view to see more data including Official Rating, Topspeed and more
3. View more data including Official Rating, Topspeed and more

Customise your racecards

When accessing racecards, click on data & odds to choose how you want to display them. Choose between Standard and Extended view, choose your odds format and choose how to present your form table (three or six lines).

How do I place a bet on the new app?

You can place a bet by tapping any odds button you see in the new app. This could be within a racecard, or any news or tipping article. Add as many selections as you like to build up your multiple bets such as doubles, trebles, Lucky 15s and more. You can also compare the odds of seven bookmakers on one screen and select the best price possible.

Follow these simple steps to place a single:

1. Tap your chosen odds button to open your betslip
2. Compare the odds and each-way terms for seven bookmakers. Once you've chosen, tab the odds and log in
3. On the betslip, enter your stake and tap place bet

Follow these simple steps to place a multiple:

1. Tap your chosen odds button to add your first selection
2. Select the odds from your chosen bookmaker
3. On the betslip tap add more selections and find your next racecard to add more selections
4. Tap the betslip to view the different multiple options, enter your stake and tap place bet

How do I compare bookmaker odds?

When NOT logged into a bookmaker yet on the app

1. Tap your chosen odds button to open your betslip
2. Prices will be listed from biggest to smallest
3. Tap the odds you want and tap log in to enter your account details
4. If you don't have an account, tap sign up to create a new one

When already logged into at least one bookmaker on the app

1. Tap on your chosen odds button
2. Open your betslip
3. Tap on the down arrow next to your bookmaker balance
4. Select another bookmaker with better odds and log in (if you aren't already)
5. Place a bet with the newly chosen bookmaker

How do I change bookmaker once in the betslip?
1. If you are already logged into a bookmaker, when in the betslip tap on the down arrow next to the balance
2. Select another bookmaker and log in or sign up
3. Go back to the betslip
4. Place your bet

How do I know what races bookmakers are offering best odds guaranteed (BOG) on?
1. Add your selection(s) to the betslip
2. When on the betslip or choosing your preferred bookmaker, a green circle on the price box indicates if that bookmaker is offering best odds guaranteed (BOG) on that race for eligible customers
3. The green circle will also be shown on the bet receipt to confirm the bookmaker is offering best odds guaranteed (BOG) on that race for eligible customers

How do I manage my bookmaker accounts?

On our new app, you can view the sum of all your bookmaker balances in one place. You can also quickly deposit, withdraw and view your bet history in the same place.

How do I log in to my bookmaker accounts?
1. Tap account on the bottom row
2. Tap on My Bookmaker Accounts
3. Tap log in next to your chosen bookmaker
4. Complete your username and password and tap log in
5. Scroll down and log in to as many bookmaker accounts as you wish

How do I view all my bookmaker balances?
1. Tap account on the bottom row, then My Bookmaker Accounts
2. Any bookmaker accounts you are logged in to will show their balance here as well as free bet balance
3. Scroll down to the bottom to log in or sign up to other bookmaker accounts
4. Once logged in, the balances will show up at the top of the screen

How do I deposit and withdraw money from my bookmaker accounts?
1. Tap account on the bottom row, then My Bookmaker Accounts
2. Tap deposit funds or withdraw funds
3. Select your chosen bookmaker from the bookmaker then tap Deposit or Withdraw
