The number of problem gamblers in Scotland has fallen over the past year according to a report published on Wednesday by the Scottish government.

However, a report commissioned by the Gambling Commission into gambling participation and problem gambling rates in Wales found higher rates there.

There have been calls for the Scottish Parliament and Welsh Assembly to get increased powers over gambling, especially in realtion to gaming machines.
