Coral-Eclipse day and the first chance for the top older horses to meet the best of Britain's Classic generation, and today's edition does not let anybody down with Prince of Wales's second and third Decorated Knight and Ulysses clashing with Derby runner-up Cliffs Of Moher and St James's Palace winner Barney Roy.

Whether there is a Mill Reef, Brigadier Gerard or Sea The Stars in the line-up is another thing, but Sandown's most important Flat race promises to live up to its billing as it is an open heat in any case – a real treat for viewers on the main ITV channel.

There is something for most on Sandown's Coral-sponsored card with a Group 3 sprint, mile handicap and Listed races for three-year-old fillies and stayers.

Haydock provides the support action and its meeting features the Lancashire Oaks and Old Newton Cup, which like the rest of the card are backed by bet365.

Today's big races

1.50 Sandown Coral Charge
2.40 Haydock bet365 Lancashire Oaks
3.15 Haydock bet365 Old Newton Cup
3.35 Sandown Coral-Eclipse
