Willie Mullins mob-handed with eight of the 16 in 100k November Handicap

With half of the 16 runners, Willie Mullins has an unrivalled hand in what looks a typically competitive renewal of this €100,000 handicap, the feature race of the Flat finale at Naas.
Mullins last won the November Handicap with Clondaw Warrior in 2014 and, with respective Newmarket and Irish Cesarewitch winners Stratum and Royal Illusion among his eight-pronged attack, he will be hotly fancied to collect this valuable staying contest again.
Tony Martin has won two of the past three runnings, including last year's event with Mr Everest, who is back for more off just 3lb higher.
Strongly fancied for the Cesarewitch at Newmarket, Mr Everest could manage only fifth behind Stratum but faces that rival on 8lb better terms.
What they say
Willie Mullins, trainer of Stratum, Buildmeupbuttercup, Diamond Hill, Royal Illusion, Saglawy, Nessun Dorma, Great White Shark, Legal Spin
Stratum will find it tough at the trip and off top weight. Buildmeupbuttercup had a hard race at Newmarket, while the rise in the weights will make it hard for Royal Illusion. Saglawy disappointed the last day and it'll be hard for him to overcome that. Great White Shark ran loose before the Cesarewitch at Newmarket, so she might run a truer race in this. Diamond Hill never seemed to travel well at Bath, Nessun Dorma might be better suited by the trip and Legal Spin has a nice racing weight.
Tony Martin, trainer of Mr Everest and Newcross
We've been delighted with Mr Everest since Newmarket. He ran a blinder over there to finish fifth in the Cesarewitch and he seems to be in good form at home since that. We're hoping that he can give another good performance. Newcross is a very consistent horse. He was a bit disappointing the last day but it was too bad to be true, so we're putting a line through that. If you can do that, you'd have to give him an each-way chance.
Gavin Cromwell, trainer of Jukebox Jive
We haven't had him terribly long but I've been happy with his work and he'll love the ground. I'd be hopeful of a nice run. He won a juvenile hurdle a couple of years ago and we'll go jumping with him this winter.
Tom Mullins, trainer of Takarengo
I'm hoping he gets in. This has been the plan for a long time, so it's a bit disappointing to be second reserve. Willie seems to be holding all the aces but we like our lad and he's improving. Hopefully, he gets in. If you’re not in you can’t win.
