'Willie Mullins is bringing out the big guns at Punchestown' - top weekend views
Tom Bellamy, RTV presenter Gordon Brown and James Hill give their opinions
What do you make of the Paddy Power Gold Cup?
Tom Bellamy, jockey It's always a competitive race but it's hard to get away from Simply The Betts, who was a prolific winner last year. I ride Fidux, who is up in the handicap for winning at Market Rasen last month. If we can nick a place we'll be delighted.
Gordon Brown, RTV and Scottish Racing presenter I keep coming back to Saint Sonnet. He could have so much potential and already has a fair bit of winning form in France. Paul Nicholls sent him all the way up to Catterick for his stable debut in February and everything that has run since out of that small novice chase has won. He has a bit to find with Mister Fisher on previous course form in March and that horse rates the biggest threat.
James Hill, tipster Mister Fisher is the class act in this, but I'm not sure the forecast rain is in his favour. Instead it might be worth looking at last year's race, where the form has worked out. Runner-up Brelan D'As is 3lb better off with Happy Diva and on the same terms with Slate House yet is the biggest price of the three. He really warmed to his task in this event 12 months ago and has a good record in big fields.
