Will the Grand National fences reignite the spark in mercurial Might Bite?
Someone may one day write a book about the colourful career of the enigmatic Might Bite, but any concluding chapters will need to be put on hold if the 11-year-old takes to his latest task over the sport's most famous obstacles in the at Aintree on Saturday.
Trained by Nicky Henderson for the enthusiastic Knot Again Partnership, the son of Scorpion, who won the King George VI Chase in 2017 and finished second to Native River in an epic Gold Cup three months later, could be a thrilling ride for Jerry McGrath over the Grand National fences and, if things go well, it may raise the possibility of a crack at the big one in the spring.
