What you need to know to start your day
There's no let up in the high quality of racing in Ireland as Cork and Roscommon stage valuable evening meetings with a smattering of stars thrown in for good measure.
Cork leads the way with the Group 3 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Give Thanks Stakes (7.30), featuring Irish Oaks third Eziyra, and the Listed Platinum Stakes (7.00), in which Brendan Brackan targets a tenth career success having won the race in 2014 and finished third a year ago.
All eyes will be on the Aidan O'Brien-trained Magical, a sister to dual Group 1 winner and 1,000 Guineas and Oaks runner-up Rhododendron, in the opening fillies' maiden at 5.30, while Roscommon also hosts a decent card with the €30,000 Connacht Oaks Fillies Handicap (7.40) the highlight.
On a day when the evening action serves up the best quality, Chelmsford puts on two £25,000 handicaps, while Nottingham completes the quartet of late starters. Earlier on, Leicester and Catterick provide the afternoon fare.

Final thought
Runaway Stobart Flat jockeys' championship leader Silvestre de Sousa is two victories away from reaching his century for the season. He heads to Chelmsford for four rides and given his red-hot form (seven winners from his last 14 rides) there is every chance he will reach the landmark this evening.
