It's Sunday, a sleepy day of action after Saturday's highlights, right? Wrong.

Today's racing is crammed with intrigue. The ultra-talented but quirky (or just misunderstood?) Might Bite is the headline act at Sandown, and at Navan there is a trio of graded races featuring, among others, last season's David Nicholson winner Apple's Jade.

If that wasn't enough there's also a jumps card at Ffos Las to keep you entertained.

There is also plenty of fancies to be found in the Tips Box.

What to read

The Badger Ales Trophy provided a big winner for Bryony Frost at Wincanton, while Jeremy Scott's stable star Melodic Rendezvous bowed out after a tremendous career.

On the international front, next year's Lockinge at Newbury could have some real star appeal with Winx a potential runner.

What to watch

Cathal Gahan thinks he's found a winner at Navan, and dispenses the information in just ten seconds.

The best of Racing Post Sport

Can Northern Ireland overcome Switzerland and book their place at the World Cup? Dan Childs previews the crucial playoff second leg.

In America the NFL is now at the week ten stage, and Ian Wilkerson thinks thein-form New Orleans Saintscould do well against the Buffalo Bills.

Final thought

There has not been a marker laid down for the Timico Gold Cup yet, with some of the fancied contenders failing to fire in recent weeks. The stage is set for Might Bite to press his claims.
