'We'll see what he's made of' - is Jet Powered a Supreme threat to Facile Vega?
Facile Vega showed this week why he dominates the betting for the Sky Bet Supreme Novices' Hurdle and Jet Powered, Britain's best hope for the Cheltenham Festival opener according to odds compilers, gets his chance, in Nicky Henderson's words, to show what he is made of at Newbury on Saturday.
By strolling to victory in a Leopardstown Grade 1 on Tuesday, the Willie Mullins-trained Facile Vega cemented his position as the Supreme favourite and is evens to get Ireland off to a festival flyer.
Jet Powered is next best at 6-1 and punters have another chance to assess his prospects in Newbury's introductory hurdle (12.40), which Henderson won three years ago with the talented Mister Coffey.
