Wachman to bow out in style with tilt at Group 1 prize

David Wachman bids to go out at the top today when Rekindling will be the Classic-winning trainer's last runner, contesting the Group 1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud.

"He's my final runner,” said the County Tipperary-based trainer, 45, who will not be at Saint-Cloud to witness it.

"He's a nice horse and seems in good form. He ran behind Capri on debut at Galway and then won his maiden at Gowran Park nicely. I think he's entitled to take his chance."
