Champion jockey Silvestre De Sousa starts his first Shergar Cup with a leading chance on Union Rose in this high-class 5f handicap.

De Sousa has ridden only once for Ron Harris in the last five seasons, but he has landed on one of the plum chances here on a four-year-old who was second to Hootenanny in the Windsor Castle Stakes at two and has come right back to his best in his two starts since he was gelded last back-end.
