What chance does Laurens have in the Sun Chariot?
Trainer Charlie Fellowes She’s been a wonderful filly and everyone loves a gutsy front-runner, and she’s embodied all of that. She’s been a wonderful star for three years and I’d love to see her do it. Newmarket lends itself to front-runners and being up on the pace. She probably is the one to beat but she’s up against some very good fillies in Veracious and Iridessa. Lavender’s Blue could be the dark horse.
Sky Bet's Stuart Jones I suspect that her admirable racing style takes plenty out of her and that we may well have seen the best of her by this point in the season. I’d much rather side with the improving Lavender’s Blue at the prices.
Keith Melrose, Racing Post betting editor I’d love to see it as she really has given connections everything they’ve asked of her. She’s the type to suit Newmarket and that bears out in her record at the track, but her last run worries me especially as it was a fifth hard race in as many months. Iridessa is probably the right favourite, albeit narrowly.
