Top stayer Trueshan brings star quality to Town Moor on Doncaster Cup day

With reigning champ Stradivarius off games and Gold Cup hero Kyprios heading to the Curragh on Sunday, the stage is clear for Trueshan to strut his stuff in Friday's Coral Doncaster Cup (3.10).

There have been few divisions as enthralling as the staying ranks this season, which has seen a changing of the guard thanks to the emergence of talented tyro Kyprios.

Yet judged on their close finish in the Goodwood Cup in July, where Kyprios edged out Stradivarius by a neck with only a further length and a quarter back to Trueshan in third, there remains precious little between the big three.
