Tonight's racing: three runners who catch the eye from Kempton and Chelmsford
Tonight's racing comes from both Chelmsford and Kempton, with the latter hosting an eight-race card. Here are three runners to keep an eye on this evening.
Royal Family
5.30 Kempton
This Qatar Racing-owned filly is well-named as she is a daughter of Frankel and out of a Listed winner in Australia.
Trainer John Gosden usually likes to unleash his promising juveniles on the all-weather at the back end of the year, including dual Arc heroine Enable two years ago, and this filly is one to note as she makes her first start in this mile novice contest. Robert Havlin takes the ride.
Tauteke
7.15 Chelmsford
This Roger Varian-trained two-year-old was a promising third on debut at Kempton earlier this month but has to overcome the difficulties of a wide draw this evening, starting in stall 13.
However, this filly stayed on well at the finish, where she showed a nice attitude, and it would be no surprise if she went two places better tonight.
Sweet Nature
8.45 Chelmsford
The daughter of Canford Cliffs got off the mark at the third attempt when a half-length winner of a novice contest at Newcastle. She has improved significantly with each run and, on her handicap debut, has more potential to improve than some of her more exposed rivals.
