Tonight on the Flat: three runners who catch the eye at Kempton
It was an afternoon menu of jump racing, but if you have been starved of Flat action, fear not, Kempton can keep you sustained. Here are three runners to note for the card.
There was a lot of money around for Clive Cox's juvenile before his debut at Newbury, and he showed up well for a long way before finishing third.
That form has already been boosted BY the fifth winning next time out, and Salute The Soldier can get his head in front here.
From four previous all-weather starts, Second Thought has never been beaten and he bids to make it five in the Listed Hyde Stakes.
The William Haggas-trained three-year-old was far from disgraced on turf during the summer in Pattern company and was also a winner on the Good Friday finals meeting last season.
At the age of nine Isaac Bell made his belated Flat debut, but it was worth the wait as he sprung a 100-1 surprise over course and distance last month.
An opening mark of 81 did then not look beyond him when he was second in a class 3 handicap back at the track earlier this month. He has gone up another 2lb, but still remains unexposed in this sphere.
