Thyme White all the rage to strike for Nicholls in Scottish Champion Hurdle
Thyme White has been backed into 6-1 (from 9) to strike for Paul Nicholls in the Coral Scottish Champion Hurdle (2.25) at Ayr.
The five-year-old was last seen finishing behind market leaders Milkwood and Calico in the County Hurdle at Cheltenham last month.
There is little to split the top three in the betting for the Coral Scottish Grand National (3.35) and Paddy Power and Betfair have made Mister Fogpatches and Aye Right joint-favourites at 7-1, closely followed by Soldier Of Love, who is 8-1 generally.
Ryan Mania, who bids for his first win in the marathon contest, has replaced Brian Hughes aboard Dingo Dollar for Sandy Thomson. Mania had been due to partner Cheltenham Festival winner Vintage Clouds, who was withdrawn due to an abscess.
