Three to look out for at Wolverhampton tonight

After an absorbing afternoon's racing Wolverhampton stages the sole evening fixture. Here are three horses it could pay to follow this evening.

Nutini
5.45 Wolverhampton

Nutini may look pretty exposed after 14 starts but nearly all his starts have been at around a mile and sprinting may be his forte.

Malcolm Saunders gave him three starts over longer trips when he first joined the yard but has got more reward since dropping him in trip.

The gelding finished second at Bath and then ran out a clearcut winner at Windsor over 6f in an amateur contest.

He has been raised 3lb for that win but with a good draw and Josh Bryan's 3lb claim cancelling out the ratings rise, he could still be ahead of the handicapper.

Dontforgettocall
6.15 Wolverhampton

Perhaps surprisingly Joe Tuite leaves off the visor which appeared to make a difference to Dontforgetocall at Kempton last time where he ran his best race yet to go down by a neck in a 5f handicap.

However, blinkers did not yield any improved showing from the gelding the time before so it may just have been coincidental.

With this conditions race restricted to 0-55 performers, this represents an ideal opportunity for the 55-rated Dontforgettocall if he can run to the same level as last time.

As at Kempton he has to overcome another wide draw but the track's leading rider Luke Morris will know better than most how that is done.

Midsummer Knight
8.15 Wolverhampton

Karl Burke has enjoyed an exceptional campaign with his two-year-olds so Midsummer Knight is an obvious candidate for any shortlist with Tapeta form in the book already.

The colt was with Mick Channon when finishing second here in September and after that effort he was upped significantly in grade to contest the Flying Childers Stakes at Doncaster. Perhaps not surprisingly he was out of his depth in the Group 2 sprint before he left the yard.

Sights were lowered for his debut for Burke at York where he ran his best race yet to finish a length second in a Class 3 contest.

He is down in grade again here and should be the one to beat if the step up to 6f suits.
