Thistlecrack should take all the beating in King George

I don’t have a ride in the 32Red King George VI Chase (3.15) at Kempton on Monday, but I'm as excited as anyone about the big clash between Cue Card and Thistlecrack.

These big races involving crowd favourites who come back year after year make jump racing so special, and the Boxing Day highlight looks an epic showdown between two genuine superstars.

Of course, it’s hard to split the two, but perhaps the most pertinent observation I’ve heard made about the clash came from Carl Llewellyn the other day.
