The Lowdown: going updates, racecards, news and tips for today's racing
Today's news
- SWEET TARGET: Star mare Honeysuckle has two Cheltenham Festival options, but connections look likely to keep her against her own sex at the meeting. She is a general 6-4 chance for the Mares’ Hurdle.
- COURSE REPRIEVE: Racing at Kempton will continue for the foreseeable future as the Jockey Club on Wednesday announced scaled-down housing plans which will not affect the track.
- FESTIVAL PLANS: Olly Murphy is sending the exciting Brewin'upastorm straight to Cheltenham, where he will be joined by the trainer's first Grade 1 winner, Itchy Feet.
- ARC AGENDA: Emerging Japanese owner Masaaki Matsushima has purchased a half-share in Japan. The Arc is the main aim for the colt, who was fourth in the race last year.
