The numbers add up to make something pretty special. Forty three runs, ten wins, nine years of age, seven seconds, six thirds, five wins at Listed level, one glorious gelding.

Brendan Brackan made his debut on the first day of June in 2012 and has been a grand servant for Ger Lyons over the last six years, but the big question is whether age will start to catch up with him.

He is officially rated 110, 7lb clear of Onenightidreamed, whom he beat convincingly in a Listed race at Cork on his final start as an eight-year-old last October. Ground conditions are ideal and he has proven time and time again he goes well fresh. What's not to like?

Can Mulvaney's mudlover cut the mustard out of handicaps?

Michael Mulvaney celebrated his greatest triumph as a trainer when On The Go Again stormed home to land the Irish Lincolnshire last month, but now has to prove he can succeed at Listed level.

A seven-day break did not seem sufficient to get over his Naas exertions when On The Go Again proved a bitterly disappointing favourite in a 1m2f Cork handicap last time. He's been given 16 days to get over that, so we should get to see the best of him this time.

Mulvaney said: "It's an ideal race for him and, after it was reopened, we thought we might as well have a go. It was real tacky ground at Cork last time and it was hard to give weight away on that ground. He is coming in his coat all the time and seems in good form."

Can Pincheck or Onenightidreamed reverse Irish Lincolnshire form?

On The Go Again was too good for Pincheck (fourth) and Onenightidreamed (fifth) in the Irish Lincolnshire at Naas last month, but both Jessica Harrington and Fozzy Stack believe there is better to come from their representatives.

Harrington, trainer of Pincheck, said: "I was delighted with his run at Naas. He was the last horse off the bridle and just took a blow.

"He was off for a while last season as he got a little fracture when winning his maiden, but he came back at the end of the season in tremendous form."

Onenightidreamed was sent off favourite for this race 12 months ago when finishing a close-up third to Rose De Pierre, and the soft-ground-loving seven-year-old is back to try to go two places better.

Stack said: "I was pleased with his run in the Lincoln and I would say he will come on for it quite a bit. He will like the ground and likes Leopardstown.

"Brendan Brackan has beaten us a few times already and will be a tough nut to crack."

Will Weld complete a hat-trick in the race?

Dermot Weld is chasing a hat-trick in this Listed contest as he sent out Fascinating Rock to win it in 2016 and Rose De Pierre in 2017.

The master of Rosewell House relies on Tandem to complete the three-timer and reports the nine-year-old to have been in rude health since his spin over hurdles in February.

Weld said: "He was a great servant last season after picking up an injury in Dubai the year before. I ran him in the Coral Hurdle at Leopardstown in February and he's been in great order since."
