The latest betting news, going updates and non-runners
A week of sunshine and warm temperatures has made it feel like the British summer has arrived, and there is some scorching action in Britain and Ireland on Saturday.
Aidan O'Brien came to Newmarket and walked away with both the 2,000 and 1,000 Guineas earlier in the month, and he bids to repeat the feat back on home turf at the Curragh.
First up is 2,000 Guineas hero Churchill, who is long odds-on to win the first Classic of the season in Ireland. We could also get a glimpse of the future, with his sister, Clemmie, making her debut in the opening maiden on the card. Among her rivals is stablemate Snowflakes, sister to this season's 1,000 Guineas winner Winter.
It could be another big day for O'Brien, who also saddles the in-form, and in-foal, Acapulco in the Group 2 Weatherbys Ireland Greenland Stakes.
Top-class sprinters are the main draw at Haydock, with the Group 2 Armstrong Aggregates Temple Stakes the feature. The ground dried out to firm, good to firm in places overnight so there could be some lightning fast racing, though rain is forecast at the track before the action starts.
On a busy Saturday, there is also Flat action at Chester, Goodwood, Salisbury and York, plus jumps meetings at Cartmel and Ffos Las.
