Whether you’re halfway around the supermarket or tucking into a late-morning bacon sarnie, set the alarm for midday as the first of 28 jump races in Britain and Ireland sees the much-anticipated chase debut of Ballymore hero Bob Olinger at Gowran Park.

And there is a tasty second serving in the top prospect division with Ballymore third Bravemansgame contesting the 2m5½f graduation chase at Haydock just under two hours later.

A stone bruise ruled out Bob Olinger from his planned first start over fences at Punchestown last Saturday, but seven days on he is primed to return in an 18-runner 2m4f beginners’ chase. Yes, British racing fans, they do exist.
