Terre ready to take first step in pursuit of legendary sibling Treve

Criquette Head-Maarek takes the wraps off Terre, sister to her dual Arc heroine Treve, at Saint-Cloud on Wednesday.

Originally offered for auction at Arqana, where she failed to reach a €2 million reserve price in August last year, Terre will carry the all-crimson colours of the Head family's Haras du Quesnay and will be partnered by Thierry Jarnet in division two of the Prix Douve.

By coincidence, the race falls a calendar year to the day after Treve left Head-Maarek's Chantilly yard for Sheikh Joaan Al Thani's Haras de Bouquetot, where she is now in foal to Dubawi.
