Stable staff to receive Christmas bonus at Kempton
Sponsors 32Red are to give stable staff on duty at Kempton on Boxing Day a Christmas bonus.
Every groom in the 32Red King George VI Chase will receive £50, while the groom in charge of the best-turned-out horse will also win two backstage tickets to Ant & Dec’s popular Saturday Night Takeaway show, which is to return to ITV in 2018.
The online bookmakers are also covering the costs of all stable staff catering at Kempton on the day.
32Red chief executive Matt Booth said: ‘Working with horses is a life, not a job, and the stable staff that look after these horses show remarkable dedication and care. They are the heartbeat of this sport and without them we wouldn’t have this sport we love. We are delighted to be able to reward them in small part on Boxing Day at Kempton."
