Spencer opts for The Grey Gatsby over Big Orange - is he right?
One question many punters will be asking themselves when seeking to solve this Group 2 puzzle is: 'Has Jamie Spencer made the right choice?'
Spencer will partner The Grey Gatsby on only his second attempt at 12 furlongs, having opted for the Kevin Ryan-trained veteran over Big Orange, who he steered to a shock 25-1 success in this race 12 months ago.
The jockey clearly gets on well with Big Orange and will not have made the decision lightly, but The Grey Gatsby is rated 8lb superior to the Michael Bell-trained stayer and Spencer will be hoping that class will tell.
