Native Trail might provide a bang as hot favourite for Saturday's Qipco 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket, but maybe we shouldn't expect as many fireworks on Friday given there are not that many runners.

The ITV4 cameras will screen four races from Newmarket and three from Goodwood, but only one contest – Goodwood's 5f handicap – has drawn enough runners for viewers to get involved on traditional each-way terms.

That said, both courses are among the leading venues in Britain when it comes to quality action, and Newmarket's Betfair Exchange Jockey Club Stakes () could provide the stardust if Yibir does what his ratings and odds suggest.
