A return to the saddle for Hayley Turner may be one of the chief attractions at this afternoon’s Shergar Cup but, despite asserting she has no plans to make a full-time comeback, Britain’s most successful female jockey has a future date for the diary as well.

She will be among the former stars saddling up for the Clipper Logistics Leger Legends next month.

Sir Anthony McCoy’s winning ride made plenty of headlines last year and race organiser Dale Gibson is hoping that the presence of several recently retired jockeys will make the 2016 edition just as newsworthy.
